Tantra and Back Pain Part 1

The three main ways to experience tantra are through meditation, movement (yoga) and touch (massage). Yoga and Tantra propose that this energy may be awakened by such means as austerities, breath and other physical exercises, visualization and chanting.

Yoga and tantra (pronounced tun-tra) are ancient spiritual sciences the historical roots of which are only partially known. It has become increasingly apparent that some of the problems that arise in integrating the practice of Tantra are a reflection of our own psychological and cultural dispositions, while others arise from the fact that Tantra has been coloured for so long by a particularly influential Tibetan culture. Both yoga and tantra share the common goal of union with higher Self. The techniques of tantra are diverse and include asana, pranayama, mudra, bandha, mantra, yantra, purification of the subtle channels of the body (nadis), elemental meditations (tattwa shuddhi), and meditations on prana and kundalini, and kriya yoga. The terms Yoga and Tantra can often be used interchangeably.

Tantric

Tantric therapists say that the sacred sexual practice is incredibly healing as much within relationships as for individuals. Whereas other Yoga practices see the involvement of sexuality as detrimental to self development, Tantric Yoga not only permits sexual arousal and contact, but uses both in the context of reaching enlightenment.

Unlike other types of massage, where you are often discretely draped in towels for the sake of modesty, with Tantric massage you will be naked, as indeed the masseuse/masseur is likely to be too. Through Tantra and Tantric Sex the orgasmic state can be expanded and research has shown that this can have a positive effect on the immune system. You can begin the Tantric path from wherever you are right now.

However, as teaching, it was first recorded through the scriptures of Shiva, a Tantric Master who lived between 5-7000 years ago in India. Through continued practice while partners develop and master the tantric asanas (postures) and pranayamas (breathing techniques), they tone and strengthen their respective subtle energy bodies and learn to harmonize the Yin-Yang forces within themselves and each other. As couples combine and channel the primordial, evolutionary force of the Kundalini energy, they begin to experience deepening levels of the tantric erotic sentiment and the mystic erotic thrill created by the maturing and upward movement of Kundalini energy.

Yoga

Yoga-tantra practices begin with simple techniques that balance and strengthen the body, nervous system and mind, and enable us to attain health and mental strength. Yoga is the science of the union with the Divine, with Truth; Tantra is the most direct method of controlling the energy that creates the ultimate union with Truth; and Ayurveda is the science of life.

Tantra Yoga Facts You Never Knew

In Tantra Yoga the physical well being of the person who practices it gets boosted. In Tantra yoga a person needs to be totally committed and it is this commitment which forms the basis of the yoga. People who practice this kind of yoga are called tantriks. These people not only worship their own body but will go to any lengths to attain occult powers.

This form of yoga is not in practice among most people in India today though it was widely practiced by some adepts living in certain parts of the country and those living in the high mountains of the Himalayas.

The origins of Tantra yoga still remains a mystery to many people. Researchers believe that it was the Pre-Aryans who were the founders of this system of yoga but still others are of the opinion that the origins of this yoga are attributed to the early men. This yoga is said to have been in existence around the same time as Buddhism. It is because of this that some of the Tantrik symbols and signs have been used by the Buddhists.

It was much later that this yoga actually became a separate group. Tantras are similar to the Vedas and are a collection of poetic verses. Here there is elaborate description of the various methods on proper worship and love of the divine.

Most of the verses are vague and difficult to understand y the layman so most people find it rather spiritual and think they are meant only for those who practice the tanrtik rituals. The people who practice Tantra yoga are known as Sadhaks and they normally lead a life of utter simplicity. For them their very practice is prayer. These people are found meditating in lonely and secluded places far away from the reaches of society. They can be distinguished and recognized only through the robes they wear and the begging bowl that they carry. Sometimes they are also found selling medicinal herbs, shells, and trinkets.

There is another facet to Tantra yoga also where the yogi or sadhak performs a number of difficult austerities using his body. In Tantra Yoga sex and love making are given importance and is widely practiced by those following this system of yoga.

Many who practice this yoga believe that to achieve siddhi or supernatural powers one has to awaken the dormant Kundalini or serpent power. Practice of a certain type of meditation can awaken this serpent power. It is believed that constant and arduous practice of this particular meditation causes the serpent to gradually uncoil and rise very slowly. The uncoiled serpent energy then slowly begins to rise through the spin. Once awakened it is believed that tremendous energy is released which causes the skin to feel hot and sweat begins to flow profusely till the person experiences a stinging feeling. This practice is extremely dangerous as it can also destroy the person totally if this meditation is not performed with caution and under strict supervision. The sadhak experiences sensational pleasure when the energy touches its peak. The person becomes a sage or Sadhu on achieving this state. Tantra also involves the debauched means of acquiring of mystical powers.

Tantra yoga is believed to help a person to be more sexually active as it improves both their general and sexual health. There are different exercises that can be performed at sunrise and bedtime which helps to stimulate the whole body making the person feel energetic

Healing Your Woman with Tantric Yoni Massage

Yoni (YO-NEE) is the Sanskrit word for the vagina. In Tantra, the vagina is a sacred part of the female body, which must be treated with care and respect. The Yoni massage is a sensuous form of intimacy that builds trust between partners and brings them closer together emotionally and spiritually.

Although the Yoni massage can be extremely stimulating, the purpose is not to bring the woman to orgasm. Rather, it is to relax both the giver and the receiver and to bring emotions to the surface. The experiences and feelings that a woman may have during the Yoni massage can be very different, ranging from anger, lust, sadness, or even indifference. Everything is possible and everything is allowed. The Yoni massage is not about focusing on a special kind of feeling or fulfilling a particular expectation. The idea is simply to observe and to experience. As you learn to master the Yoni massage, your sex life will be greatly enriched, and you will learn a great deal about feminine sexuality.

Before beginning the massage, you should gaze into each other's eyes while embracing and engaging in deep, relaxed, synchronized breathing. This is a type of Tantric foreplay in which the couple forms an emotional and spiritual bond. Both the giver and receiver should remember to keep breathing deeply, slowly, and with relaxation during the entire process. You should gently remind your woman to start breathing again if she stops or starts taking shallower breaths.

When you are both ready to begin the massage, the woman lies on her back with one pillow under her head and another under her hips to elevate her pelvis. She bends her knees and opens her legs to expose her Yoni. Sit comfortably between her legs with your legs crossed. You may wish to sit on a pillow or cushion

Begin by massaging other parts of her body to encourage her to relax. Gently, but firmly, massage her legs, thighs, stomach, breasts and arms before venturing toward the Yoni. Next, massage the pubic bone area and then move down to the inner thigh area. Do this motion at least nine times. Then, with the right hand (the right hand is used to balance the polarity of Tantra), apply a high-quality oil or lubricant to the mound of the Yoni, pouring just enough so that it drips down the outer lips and covers the outside of the Yoni.

Gently rub the oil on the outer lips of the Yoni at least nine times. With the thumb and index finger, gently squeeze each lip of the Yoni, sliding the fingers up and down the entire length of each lip. Then, carefully repeat this process with each inner lip of the vagina varying the pressure and speed of touch according to your partner's preferences.

Next, gently stroke the clitoris in a circular motion, clockwise and counter-clockwise. Then, squeeze her clitoris between your thumb and index finger. Next, slowly and with great care, insert your middle finger into her Yoni. Very gently explore and massage the inside of the Yoni with your finger. Varying the speed and depth of your finger, feel inside the Yoni up, down and around. With your palm pointing upward and your finger inside your partner's Yoni, bend your finger to make contact with her G-spot, known as the sacred spot in Tantra.

Continue massaging, trying different speeds, pressures and motions. Keep breathing and gazing into each other's eyes. She may have powerful emotions come up and may cry. Just keep breathing and being gentle. If she has an orgasm, keep her breathing, and continue massaging if she wants. More orgasms may occur, each gaining in intensity. In Tantra this is called iding the wave. Many women can learn how to be multi-orgasmic with the Yoni massage and a patient partner.

Keep massaging until she tells you to stop. Very slowly, gently, and with respect, remove your hands. The Yoni massage creates a space for a woman to relax, and enter a state of high arousal and experience much pleasure from her Yoni. Allow her to just lie there and enjoy the afterglow of the Yoni massage while you experience the joy of being of service and witnessing a special moment

How To Practice Tantric Massage

Tantric massage: if the name if this treatment makes you think of something enjoyable, your thinking is correct. Often, massage is given as a medical treatment, to heal or relieve pain from injured muscles or tendons. Tantric massage, on the other hand, is a sensual massage which is used to increase the romantic bond between two partners.

This form of massage has its origins in India, and includes more than just the massaging of the body. Partners must also focus on breathing, visualization and meditation. By combining all of these elements together, both partners become more in touch with each others thoughts and feelings, as well as becoming more aware of themselves and their own body.

For the ideal tantric massage, partners take turns massaging each other. For the best massage, use oil on the fingertips, either scented or unscented. It is essential that the entire surface of the body receives the massage, in order to make the skin feel relaxed and sensitive to the touch of the other person. Lie on a soft surface and use pillows to make yourself the most comfortable.

This form of massage puts the partners in a vulnerable spot, where they must yield to one anothers touch and be willing to be open to each other. Although it may seem like mainly physical contact takes place, tantric massage allows the partners to share intimacy with one another on an emotional level that they may never have experienced before.

If you are self-conscious or have low self-esteem, this experience can help you to learn to appreciate your body. It can also help you to boost the confidence of your partner as you enjoy being close to him or her and helping him or her to feel loved and accepted. Dont be embarrassed to suggest this form of massage to your partner; it can help to rejuvenate your relationship.
